Chenghai Laiwu laver is a wild species, mostly grown on rocks in the water around Laiwu Island. The head-soaked seaweed selected by Chaozhou Tsai is only made once a year. It is very precious and tastes extremely sweet.
Laver leaves are dark green, thin and flexible, and after drying, the color is deep purple, translucent, and free of sand.
