Chaozhou moon cakes, also known as Chaozhou-style朥饼, the word 朥 means lard in Chaoshan dialect. The cakes baked with lard mixed with flour as the leather bag and sweet stuffing are called 朥饼. The cakes are available all year round, especially during the Mid-Autumn Festival.
